James Rendall talks about ‘Calcio’s Greatest Forwards: Serie A’s Finest Attackers’ by George Rinaldi. The book devotes a chapter to each of the 21 best strikers to have graced L’Italia since 1929, delving deep into the back stories of Serie A’s finest attackers. “A great book, fantastic players and excellent artwork.”
When Calcio’s Greatest Forwards came out I knew I’d love it. It has everything you need to know about Italian football: from the 1930s – and players such as Meazza and Piola – through to Inzaghi and Totti.
The book also has some wonderful illustrations which gives the reading experience that little bit extra. Highly recommend!
